1969
Empty Sky was Elton John's first LP, and was originally released in the UK in June, 1969. The nine songs on the original album plus the four bonus tracks included on the remastered reissue were produced by Steve Brown, and recorded between December, 1968, and April, 1969, at Dick James Studios in London's New Oxford Street, apart from one of the bonus tracks, "It's Me That You Need", which was recorded at Olympic Studios in Barnes, South-west London. The Empty Sky album did not reach 'Billboard' album chart in the US until 1975, by which time Elton was an established superstar, although it has never been a hit album in Britain.
